MERSEA's Top 5 Stress-free Packing Tips

Packing Tips Crafted for Your Journey

We understand the struggles of packing for a trip, which is why we've gathered our top five pro tips to make your packing experience stress-free and efficient. Whether you're embarking on a weekend getaway or a long vacation, these tricks will help you pack light and smart.

  1. Versatility is key

When choosing your travel wardrobe, opt for versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched effortlessly. Select sweaters that can transition from day to night and a classic tee that pairs well with various bottoms. By packing simple and versatile clothing items, you'll leave room in your suitcase for fun accessories that can easily change up your look or add a touch of elegance.

  2. Roll, don’t fold.

If you haven't tried rolling your clothes yet, it's time to give it a go. Rolling your tops tightly instead of folding them allows you to maximize space and fit more items in your suitcase. Simply fold your tops in half and tightly roll them before stacking and packing them neatly.

  3. BYOW (Bring Your Own WRAP!) –

A versatile wrap is a must-have travel accessory. Our wraps are not only stylish but also practical. They come folded into a bag that can double as a pillow during your flight. Plus, when you feel a chill at dinner or in cooler environments, you can easily pull out your wrap and drape it around your shoulders. It's the perfect blend of chic and comfort.

  4. Pack an empty water bottle – Staying hydrated on the move is difficult as is, even worse, it gets expensive! In Europe, water is often in spouts around the streets to freely and freshly fill up. In other parts of the world, there is almost always somewhere to fill up. Just don’t forget to dump it out before you head through security!

  5. Carry-on if you can – We’ve spent more than a few trips relying on a perfume bottle and the clothes on our backs—a lost bag doesn’t get better with time.
We like to play it safe when it comes to making sure that everything makes it to the final destination. But, if you have to check your bag, throw a tracker of any kind in there to keep tabs in case there’s an ‘airport oops.’
