If you’ve ever been to Morocco, you know firsthand the prevalence of artists in the community. The warming landscapes and monumental sights of Marrakesh are matched by its bustling artisan district boasting ancient tradition and craftsmanship at every corner. Showcasing their skill and expertise, these local makers create charming handcrafted pieces to be cherished for years to come.
A storied Moroccan tradition, rooted in
care and craftsmanship
Beldi glass is a Moroccan tradition. Since the introduction of the iconic shape in the 1940s, it has been the customary tea glass for local families. Founded in 2014 with a true passion for the continuance of traditional processes, the Kessy Beldi brand uses recycled materials—cola, wine and beer bottles—to craft their artisanal mouth-blown pieces.
Working with our friend, Bouchaib, the founder of Kessy Beldi, we have married their recognizable raised ridge glassware with our hand-poured candles, scented with fragrances reminiscent of our Moroccan travels. Once the candle is gone, keep the glass to use as everyday tableware for a bit of Marrakesh in your own home.
